Keeping Kids Clean – Products That Make It Easier

This post is sponsored by the following brands.  All opinions are my own.
Have you ever noticed how hard it is to keep little kids clean;  and for some reason, they hate to have their hands and faces wiped by mom or dad?  I wanted to quickly share some cute sanitary products that were designed to be more appealing to kids both with their looks and ease of use, which makes our job as a parent a little easier.

Whaleywasher Faucet Extender

The Whaleywasher faucet extender is an absolutely brilliant invention.  Created by a mom who was fed up with hoisting her kids up to the faucet multiple times per day just to get their hands clean, the Whaleywasher is every parents’ dream product.  Not only does it extend the faucet, but it also holds the soap which means no more messy, soapy countertops!
To turn the Whalewasher on, you simply hit the metal piece that hangs down from the unit, and you do the same to turn the water off.  This is great for reducing water waste!
Visit www.whaleywasher.com to shop!

Dubble Trubble Travel Products

My oldest loves the smells of the Dubble Trubble bath and body products so we were thrilled to see that they now come in travel sizes.  Now we can take the deliciousness with us on trips!  Shown above is some of the full sized products, but you can buy the Watermelon Two-in-One Shampoo and Body Wash, the Cool Cucumber Detangling Spray, and the Watermelon Detangling Spray and Wet Detangling Hairbrush in travel sizes.

Learn more about the Dubble Trubble travel products at www.dubbletrubble.com.

Squix Qbox – A Germ-Fighting Subscription Box

Subscription boxes are alway so exciting to receive in the mail, right?  The Squix Qbox is a new take on the subscription box trend and allows you to receive a monthly subscription of full sized products and free gifts.  This subscription box is fully customizable and allow you to choose from more than 125 germ-fighting products for the whole family.  An example of some of the kid-friendly sanitary products are the Ju-Ju-Be Paci Pod and the Babyganics Alcohol-Free Foaming Hand Soap.
Get your first Squix Qbox for just $9.99 here.

Arm & Hammer Simply Saline Baby Nasal Products

There’s nothing worse than snotty kids; and I mean that in the literal sense.  My favorite new boogie getters are the Simply Saline Nasal Swabs.  These Qtip-looking swabs contain saline in the tubes.  Once the cotton tip is broken, the saline soaks the cotton swab on the opposite end and it makes the perfect tool to scoop out those gooey boogies from kids’ noses.
Another great product to moisten little ones’ noses is the Simply Saline Nasal Mist.
Visit www.armandhammer.com to learn more about their Simply Saline products.

Sebamed’s line of gentle baby skincare products are ph balanced for a softer, gentler clean.  The soap-free Sebamed Baby Wash, Baby Sebamed Shampoo and the Baby Cream are the perfect combination for a tear-free, soothing bath experience.
It’s important to establish a positive bathtime routine with your new little one, so using the right products from the beginning is key.

Chef Club Box Review

Chef Club Box - subscription box for kids with healthy snacks

As you know, I love subscription boxes and I absolutely love food and cooking.  Today, I wanted to share a fun subscription box designed to get kids loving healthy food – created by child-chef, Remmi, from the web-show Cook Time with Remmi.

Chef Club Box - Subscription Box for Kids

Chef Remmi

Chef Remmi is a 15-year-old high school student that loves food and has since she was four.  By the time she was seven she could make a whole meal by herself.  By eight, she was recognizing that childhood obesity was an issue in America, so she decided to make a web-show that demonstrates healthy cooking and eating for families.  You can learn more about Remmi’s story here.

Chef Club Box

Chef Club Box is a subscription program that delivers premium healthy snack options to your doorstep.  It’s perfect for families on-the-go or for snackaholics, like us.  There are two different packages priced at $35.99 and $45.99.  You can choose a multi-month subscription plan or order individual boxes each month.
Remmi works with a lot of small healthy food manufacturers that produce their snacks in small batches which makes for better quality foods.  She frequents the annual Natural Products Expos to connect with future Chef Club Box contributors so she’s always sending out new and exciting goodies, along with fan favorites.
Remmi was kind enough to send us a Chef Club Box in December and let me tell you – I couldn’t believe how many full sized goodies came in our box.  She also sent along her own special Italian dressing packet ($4.50) and her Global Cooking for Kids cookbook ($25).

Check out our Chef Club Box:

Our Chef Club Box was so heavy and full of delicious snacks.  I’ve never received a subscription box that was this loaded and for that reason, this is probably my favorite food subscription box.

You can visit www.chefclubbox.com to learn more about Remmi and her subscription box.

Thanks to Chef Remmi for sending us a Chef Club Box to check out.  As always, my opinions are always my own and aren’t influenced by sponsors.  Thanks for taking the time to learn more about our sponsors.

Why I Love Del Sol Nail Polish

Prior to receiving my October Del Sol nail polish box, I already owned a few Del Sol colors.  I like the Del Sol polishes because they’re non-toxic and it’s fun to watch them change colors when exposed to sunlight.  My four-year old gets a kick out of it, too.

FITSNACK | NOVEMBER BOX

As the winter months are approaching, some of us don’t quite get in the activity that we did during warmer months, hence we tend to gain a few extra pounds.  Making healthy snack choices can help combat the weight gain due to inactivity.  Fitsnack monthly subscription boxes are a great way to try some wholesome products and supplements, without investing in tons of full sized products that you may or may not like.

As a Fitsnack brand ambassador, I receive a commission when you place your first order through my link below.  Purchasing through my affiliate link will not cost you anything but helps me earn extra credits towards future Fitsnack boxes.  Plus, you get a free gym bag for ordering from my link!

November Fitsnack subscription box.

In the November Fitsnack box, my favorite was the Bite Fuel Protein Granola Trail Mix.  I put 1/2 cup into individual snack size Ziploc bags to make it easy to take along for snacking after the gym.  It’s also great on top of yogurt or ice cream!  And, it’s protein packed at 12 grams per serving!  Other products in this months’ box are:

Breakout Protein Bars:  No added sugar, but naturally sweet tasting.  Chewy and very satisfying.
Manitoba Harvest Hemp Hearts:  Pretty good sprinkled on salad (adds 10 grams of protein!).
Love Grown Super Oats:  Yummy brown sugar oatmeal with chia and quinoa for a fiber rich meal.  Or, mix the packet with an egg to make a whole grain pancake!
Amoda Matcha Green Tea:  I absolutely love making smoothies with Match green tea (3/4 cup nonfat milk, 1 tsp Matcha, 1/2 cup vanilla nonfat yogurt, and 1/2 cup ice – Mix in blender until smooth!).  Gives you great energy for your morning workout.
Green’s Best Supplements:  Organic Berries and Organic Greens superfood – what else needs to be said!  These contain natural antioxidants, plus provide valuable nutrients your body needs.
Fuel 100 Electro Bites:  Great for refueling after exercise.  Yummy flavor too!
Fitsnack boxes make a terrific gift for the health conscious person on your holiday list!  Gifts can be purchased in 1, 3, 6 or 12 month subscriptions, and prices start at $23.90 with shipping and handling.  The monthly plan can be cancelled at any time.

Delicious Essential Oil Blends | Breathe in Box

Have you been to one of those essential oil house parties yet?  I have, and I was floored at the cost!  It took all I had to sit through that party, and I couldn’t get out of the door fast enough.  When I asked if I could just purchase a single bottle, or maybe even two, I was told “yes, but you have to join our club first (which was $135!), and then you had to purchase so many bottle per year.  This actually worked out to over $55 per bottle!
Needless to say, I was so excited to try Breath in Box monthly subscriptions of already blended scents, where you don’t have to buy 2-3 scents to blend on your own to get an amazing fragrance!
Breathe in Box for November.
With Breathe in Box, you can still do a monthly subscription, but there’s no fee to join and no annual subscription fees.  You can also cancel your monthly box at any time with no penalties.  These oils are super concentrated, so a little goes a long way and one bottle should last for months.
Breathe in Box’ essential oils can be used several ways – in a diffuser, on a cotton ball stuck in a hidden spot (great in bathrooms or in your car!), add a few drops to a pan of simmering water on the stove, place a few drops in your drawers.  I actually placed a few drops on the filter in my vacuum, and it fills the whole room with fragrance as I vacuum.  I’m going to carry a bottle with my while traveling so I can sprinkle a drop or two in hotel rooms or cruise cabins.
So which was my favorite from the November Breathe in Box?  I actually loved all three, but the Cinnamon Cookie was my favorite.  It just has a really delicious blend that smells like Snickerdoodle cookies!  The cinnamon really helps get rid of other cooking odors!  I think men would really appreciate the Bonfire Nights fragrance – not too sweet or girlie.
Looking for a unique holiday gift?  A Breathe in Box subscription would be awesome!  Check out the Breathe in Box subscription pricing for details.

Disclosure: I received one or more of the products mentioned above in exchange for review from Breathe in Box.  Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

6 Pretend Play Ideas for Kids | Bramble Box Props

subscription box for kids, pretend play

When I think back to my childhood, I remember playing teacher, post office, kitchen, etc. with my brothers.  Mostly because I liked being the bossy big sister, but also because pretend play makes childhood fun.  By pretending to be something you’re not, you get a chance to come out of your comfort zone and you end up learning a lot about yourself, no matter what age you are.

This post contains my Bramble Box affiliate link.  Clicking or ordering through my referral link helps us track purchased made from The Naptime Reviewer and helps me earn extra money.

I spend my evenings scouring Pinterest for creative activity ideas for my daughters.  What I’ve learned about myself from doing this, though, is that I can pin projects all day long but actually purchasing the supplies and following through with them is a whole different ball game.  Life gets away from me sometimes and for that reason I 100% support businesses like Bramble Box.

Bramble Box is a subscription service for kids that delivers fun, educational pretend play props to your doorstep for around $25 each month.  They come with just about everything kids need to create a pretend workplace with little-to-no adult help required.

6 Pretend Play Ideas from BrambleBoxProps.com

  1. Post Office
  2. Veterinarian
  3. Gardener
  4. World Traveler
  5. Wizard – Magic Science
  6. Ice Cream Shop
The holiday edition Bramble Box theme is Ice Cream Shop.  My four-year old daughter and I have been having so much fun playing ice cream shop this month.  It’s one of our favorite desserts and she enjoys pretending to act like the employees at our local ice cream shop.

Check out what comes in the holiday edition Bramble Box in our video below:

How to Get Free Samples

PINCHme Blogger Network Badge

I don’t know what it is about free samples that get’s everyone (including me) excited.  The second I hear the word “sample” my excitement level is instantly heightened.  It totally has something to do with that “what’s in it for me” mentality that is hard to get away from.  I do feel guilty for accepting freebies that I don’t necessarily need from those “free sample” ads I see online, but I’ve found a way to get free samples, guilt-free!  And you don’t have to be a blogger to get them.

PINCHme is a monthly subscription box that delivers free samples to your doorstep in exchange for your honest opinion about them.  You simply sign up to become a Pincher, pick your samples and submit your opinions after you’ve received them.
